There was no HD version, just a smoothed upscale version. Unless Hypokrates is referring to the new Sonic the Hedgehog 4!
On topic a bit more, this is a nice idea for a wallpaper! What else might make a great dual-screen wallpaper, along the same vein, would be a zoomed out view of the entire level....
